What Is Photobiomodulation?
Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a light-based wellness technology that uses specific wavelengths of light to interact with biological tissue.
Research into photobiomodulation continues to investigate its potential role in supporting circulation, tissue function, recovery, comfort, and overall wellness.
Firefly takes this technology further by combining multiple wavelengths in a powerful and programmable system.
What Happens at My Appointment?
A Firefly Light Therapy appointment is designed to be simple, comfortable, and personalized to your needs.
Depending on your practitioner and wellness goals, your visit may include an initial F-Scan assessment followed by a customized light therapy session.
1. F-SCAN
Your appointment may begin with an F-Scan assessment. The process is designed to be quick and non-invasive.
During the scan, your practitioner will guide you through the process and review the information generated by the system.
The results can provide your practitioner with additional information to consider when developing an individualized wellness approach.
2. REVIEW YOUR RESULTS
After the scan, your practitioner will review the results with you and discuss the areas that may be relevant to your wellness goals.
Based on the assessment and your individual needs, your practitioner can determine an appropriate light therapy approach, including the wavelengths and settings that may be used during your session.
3. LIGHT THERAPY
Your Firefly Light Therapy session is designed to be comfortable and non-invasive.
The practitioner positions the Firefly device over the selected area while the system delivers targeted light at the chosen wavelengths and settings.
Session length can vary depending on the protocol, treatment area, and practitioner recommendations.
4. REPEAT & TRACK
Follow-up assessments may be recommended depending on your individual wellness plan.
Your practitioner can use follow-up sessions and assessments to monitor your experience, discuss changes in comfort or mobility, and adjust future light therapy protocols when appropriate.
Every person is different, and your practitioner will determine the most appropriate approach for your individual needs.
